Berkeley Vale Community Preschool was established in 1983 as a 20 place preschool catering to 3-5 year olds, it was then managed by a local church board and resided on their premises. The preschool quickly established itself as a quality education care facility and in 1987 and the running of the preschool became independent of the church with the parents and community members taking over all roles on the management committee.
Successive committees set about ensuring the long term viability of the preschool for the benefit of the local community. In 1989 the preschool entered into a lease agreement with Central Coast Council and moved sites to our current location on Kareelah Ave Berkeley Vale, where the facilities allowed for an increase of up to 50 children per day.
Over the years our pre-school has built a strong reputation in our local community. This is a testimony to the long-standing early childhood professionals at our service, as well as the commitment of our past and present volunteer committee members.
From these humble beginnings, we are incredibly proud that our not-for-profit, community owned preschool has been a quality resource meeting the needs of local families in our community, for the past 40 years.
We look forward to continuing to weave our roots into the Berkeley Vale community for many more years to come.
