The daily flow is one that includes a balance of indoor and outdoor play. We believe in providing large periods of uninterrupted play, so that the children have the opportunity to immerse themselves in their play and learning.

The daily flow is not rigid or set in stone, the routines are flexible and subject to change, based on the interests and needs of the children, as well as the weather. The fact that educators are not tied to the flow, encourages spontaneous activities which are valuable learning times. The children are always informed of changes to the familiar flow to alleviate anxiety that these may cause.

Lake Kindy

Making the most of our beautiful coastal environment, our Lake Kindy program is delivered weekly in the open natural spaces along Lakedge foreshore; a short 6 minute walk from our preschool. Opportunities to learn across many curriculum areas are incorporated into our Lake Kindy program including environmental education, science, literacy, numeracy, music, drama and creative arts. Enriching the curriculum beyond the confines of the Preschool.

The aims of Lake Kindy are to give our children…

  • Opportunities to connect with nature

  • Quality time outdoors

  • Opportunities for spontaneous and undirected time playing in a natural environment

  • To navigate and balance along different terrains like fallen logs and rocks, run and climb on many surfaces

  • To be involved in dramatic and imaginative play

  • To construct and create with natural, found materials

  • To find insects, observe what happens in the natural environment around us and the changes in the seasons

  • To learn about sustainability and caring for the natural local environment.
